About Alexis
I am a Biology tutor with over 4 years of teaching experience and an MSc in Biotechnology. My passion lies in marine biology, particularly the unique ecosystems of the deep sea. I love exploring the mysteries of hydrothermal vents, the wonders of bioluminescence, and the extreme adaptations of deep-sea organisms. The challenges of ocean exploration fascinate me, from crushing pressures to near-freezing temperatures. In my lessons, I guide students to understand the incredible biodiversity found in these unexplored depths. I break down complex ecological processes into clear, engaging explanations. Together, we explore how organisms survive and interact in such extreme environments. I encourage curiosity and critical thinking, helping students make connections between marine life and broader ecological principles. My teaching approach is interactive, with examples from real scientific discoveries and research. I aim to inspire a deep appreciation for the oceans and the life they sustain. My teaching approach in Biology is systematic and clear. I break down complex interactions into simple, understandable parts. I cover a wide range of subjects, including molecular biology, genetics, cell biology, ecology, ecosystems, biodiversity, and environmental conservation. I focus on helping students see the connections between living organisms and their environment.
