About Asis

Hi! I’m an English and business instructor based in British Columbia, Canada, with experience teaching students from diverse cultural, academic, and professional backgrounds. I currently teach college-level students, many of whom are developing the communication and professional skills needed to succeed in the Canadian workplace.
My background in both business education and English communication allows me to approach Business English differently. I understand that professional communication is not simply about having perfect grammar—it is about being able to express your ideas clearly, confidently, appropriately, and professionally.
I am also currently pursuing my MBA at University Canada West, which gives me additional exposure to professional communication, presentations, teamwork, leadership, marketing, management, and other real-world business contexts.
I have personally taken IELTS and achieved Band 8.5 in Speaking and Listening, along with Band 7 in Reading and Writing. My teaching experience has further strengthened my ability to explain concepts clearly and communicate with people from different linguistic and cultural backgrounds.
My teaching style is patient, practical, supportive, and conversational. I understand that many learners know English but hesitate when they have to speak during a meeting, interview, presentation, or professional conversation. My goal is to help bridge that gap.
You don't need perfect English to communicate professionally. Together, we can work on making your English clearer, more natural, more confident, and better suited to the workplace.

About the lesson

My Business English lessons are designed for professionals, students, newcomers, and job seekers who want to communicate confidently and professionally in English at work.
Instead of memorizing complicated grammar rules or formal textbook phrases, we focus on English you can actually use in professional situations.
Depending on your goals, our lessons can include workplace conversations, professional vocabulary, meetings, presentations, job interviews, networking, business emails, telephone and video calls, customer communication, pronunciation, grammar, and professional speaking skills.
A typical lesson combines conversation practice with a real workplace situation. For example, we might practise introducing yourself professionally, participating in a meeting, answering an interview question, giving a presentation, communicating with a customer, or explaining an idea to your manager or colleagues.
I will help you identify grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and sentence-formation issues while you speak and show you how to communicate the same idea more clearly, naturally, and professionally.
Most importantly, lessons are personalized around your profession, English level, and career goals. Whether you are preparing for a job interview, starting a new job, studying business, working in an English-speaking environment, or simply want to sound more confident and professional, we can build your lessons around situations you are likely to encounter.
