About Taerin
My name is Taerin, and I am a dedicated Pharmacy student at the University of Rhode Island with strong academic performance in chemistry, including earning A’s in both Organic Chemistry I and II. I was personally recommended by my Organic Chemistry professor and selected as a Chemistry Peer Tutor at the Academic Enhancement Center, where I tutor students in General and Organic Chemistry. My Teaching Approach
Hello! My name is Taerin, and I am a Pharmacy student at the University of Rhode Island with experience as a Chemistry Peer Tutor at the Academic Enhancement Center. I earned A’s in both Organic Chemistry I and II, which strengthened my conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills. My teaching approach focuses on helping students build a clear conceptual foundation and develop effective problem-solving strategies. Rather than simply giving answers, I explain the logic and reasoning behind each step so students can become confident, independent learners.

3. Guided Problem Solving (20–25 min)
We work through representative problems together, focusing on reasoning and strategy.
4. Independent Practice with Feedback (10–15 min)
The student solves problems on their own, and I give feedback on their approach, accuracy, and logic.
5. Summary & Next Steps (5 min)
We reinforce the main takeaways and set goals for the next session.
