About Chloe
I have a Master's degree in Chemistry from the University of St Andrews and have been tutoring GCSE, A-Level and I.B. Chemistry for 5 years. I have previously worked as a Chemistry teaching assistant and I am currently studying Graduate Entry Medicine. I have helped many students achieve their goal grades in Chemistry and several have gone on to study Natural Sciences or Medicine / Dentistry at University. I love helping students improve their enjoyment, confidence, and understanding of Chemistry no matter what their end goal is.

I vary how I approach teaching based on each student's needs and what they want to get out of the tutoring sessions. For a student focused on improving their school grade, I would typically like to go through the core concepts and then do lots of practice questions (improving in Chemistry takes practice in order to recognise question patterns). For students interested in doing Chemistry at University or who have a particular interest in the subject, I will also include some material about the wider applications of things they are learning in school. It really depends on the student! I understand Chemistry is a tricky subject for many students (it was for myself initially) and am happy to change my approach based on what each student feels works best for them.
