About Imane

I am a dedicated general chemistry tutor with a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of California, Irvine, and a Master's degree in Chemistry from the University of California, San Diego. During my time at UCSD, I worked as a graduate teaching assistant, where I led college-level general chemistry lab courses independently, instructing students in experimental techniques, guiding them through complex scientific concepts, and evaluating their progress through grading and feedback. With over a decade of tutoring experience, I have helped students master chemistry and biology by breaking down complex topics into clear, step-by-step explanations. My approach is highly personalized—I adapt each lesson to fit my students’ learning styles and pace, ensuring that concepts are not just memorized but truly understood and appreciated. I primarily work with high school students, with a strong focus on AP Chemistry and Biology, guiding them through challenging coursework while preparing them for exams with confidence.

About the lesson

In my one-on-one sessions, I prioritize building a strong conceptual foundation while also providing practical problem-solving strategies to be able to confidently tackle HW and exam problems. I know that chemistry can feel overwhelming, so I strive to make learning engaging, approachable, and effective. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to develop their confidence and appreciation for science. Whether tackling reaction mechanisms, stoichiometry, or complex biological pathways, I provide the support and strategies needed to excel. I am so excited to help you achieve your academic goals!
