About Lance

I have over 9 years of experience teaching chemistry and hold an MSc in Industrial Chemistry. My speciality is combining computational chemistry with theoretical concepts. I teach prediction of reaction pathways using modelling. Students perform quantum chemistry calculations stepwise. We examine bonding and electronic structures. I also teach molecular dynamics simulations through projects. They use simulation software practically. I help them understand output data clearly. Many university students and researchers train with me. They strengthen computational research skills. I simplify advanced topics. My aim is balanced chemical knowledge. You will grow into a confident and well-rounded chemist with strong computational abilities.

About the lesson

My Chemistry lessons focus on understanding, not speed. Mathematics underpins every concept. Quantum chemistry and physical chemistry are introduced gradually. Thermodynamics is explained with careful reasoning. Statistical mechanics connects probability to energy and matter. Independent exploration is nurtured. DIY biology thinking is encouraged for practical understanding. Imaginative approaches, like science fiction, help visualise abstract systems.
