About Ethan
Having classroom experience allows me to be an effective and successful tutor. I am able to tutor A-Level and BTEC law, having received A* in A-Level. I have a great understanding of theory behind teaching as well as a great passion for law which allows me to get the best from students by identifying weak areas of knowledge or exam skills and being able to plan tasks accordingly.

I'm a qualified teacher with a law degree from the University of York, this mix allows me to combine teaching pedagogy with deep legal knowledge.
My law background taught me how to explain things clearly and break down tricky ideas into simple steps. This plays such a key role in successful tutoring.
As a trained teacher, I know how to plan lessons properly. Before I teach anyone, I like to figure out how they learn best and where they're struggling. This means every lesson I plan is built around that specific student, not just a generic lesson plan.
I set high standards for my students, but I also try to keep things interesting. Learning doesn't have to be boring or repetitive. I like using real examples and getting students to actually think and discuss things that may have been in the news, rather than just copying notes down.
I also believe feedback is really important. I always let students know what they're doing well and what they need to work on, so they can see clear progress whilst working towards their final exam.
Whether someone needs help preparing for exams, catching up on a subject, or just wants to feel more confident, my goal is always the same: to help them understand the material properly and feel good about their progress.
I want every student to leave a lesson knowing more and feeling more capable.
