About Amanda
Hi! I am a credentialed teacher with extensive experience supporting elementary and middle school students in mathematics. I have worked with a wide range of learners and specialize in helping students build strong foundational math skills while developing confidence in their abilities.
My background in education allows me to quickly identify where students are struggling and provide clear, supportive instruction that makes math easier to understand. I believe every student can succeed in math when concepts are explained in a way that matches their learning style.
I enjoy helping students overcome frustration with math and guiding them toward feeling capable and confident when solving problems.

As a credentialed teacher with years of experience working with elementary and middle school students, I focus on helping learners truly understand math concepts rather than just memorizing steps. My lessons are supportive, engaging, and tailored to each student’s needs and learning style.
A typical session includes reviewing current classwork or homework, breaking down challenging concepts into simple steps, and practicing skills together until the student feels confident. I use visual explanations, real-world examples, and guided problem solving to help students build strong math foundations.
My goal is not only to improve grades, but also to help students develop confidence and a positive mindset toward math. I work best with upper elementary and middle school learners who want extra support, enrichment, or help preparing for tests.
