About Liza
I am a strategic Engineering Leader who is an experienced people manager skilled in Data engineering, software engineering, Business Intelligence, and Analytics who delivers value to society, and that allows work on projects where I deliver insight and feel valued.
After 20 years in tech, 15 of which have been in Business Intelligence and Analytics across government, large and medium-sized enterprises, and startups. This has been within various domains such as entertainment, retail, eCommerce, financial services, and the travel industries, and has also led me to be committed to the future of women in tech and especially in data roles.
I joined AnitaB.org as a London chapter volunteer in 2017 and in 2020 took on the position of co-chair of AnitaB.org membership's mid-career committee, and have become a Tech London Advocate. I have also spoken at AnitaB.org’s Grace Hopper Celebration (GHC), the world's largest gathering of women technologists in 2018 and 2019, and 2020.
Over the last more than two decades in tech, I have gained significant experience in Data Warehousing concepts like Kimball and Inmon; Data Modelling - OLAP, OLTP; Business Intelligence tools - Birst, Tableau, PowerBI, SAP Business Objects; Databases - Oracle 19c, SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres, Redshift, BigQuery; ETL tools like SAP Data Services, Dbt Analytics, Airflow, AirByte, Boomi, Informatica; Delivery approaches - Waterfall and Agile Scrum; Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software - SAP ECC, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle e*Business Suite; Customer Relations Management (CRM) - Salesforce, MondayCRM; Content Management solutions - Box, MS Sharepoint, Coding languages - C, Java, Python
