About Asfand
I’m an Electrical Engineer with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Manitoba and professional experience applying math, physics, and problem-solving skills to real-world engineering projects.
I’ve always enjoyed breaking down technical concepts and explaining them in a way that is clear, practical, and easy to understand. Through my engineering career, I regularly work with calculations, technical problem solving, and complex concepts, and I bring that same structured approach to my tutoring.
I understand that every student learns differently, so I focus on being patient, approachable, and adapting my explanations to the student’s level. My goal is to create a comfortable environment where students feel confident asking questions, making mistakes, and improving.
I tutor middle school and high school students in Math and Physics, whether they are looking to strengthen their fundamentals, improve their grades, prepare for exams, or challenge themselves with more advanced material.
Beyond getting the correct answer, I want my students to develop the confidence and problem-solving skills to approach new questions independently.

As an Electrical Engineer, I believe math and physics are easiest to learn when students understand **why something works**, rather than simply memorizing formulas.
My tutoring approach is practical, patient, and tailored to each student’s learning style. I break difficult topics into simple steps, use real-world examples from engineering and everyday life, and help students build confidence in their problem-solving skills.
I work with **middle school and high school students** in Math and Physics, whether they need help catching up, preparing for exams, completing assignments, or getting ahead.
My goal is not just to help students get the right answer—I want them to understand the concepts well enough to solve new problems independently.
