About Mary Joy
I have teaching experience in an inclusive school, where I gained hands-on experience in supporting learners with diverse learning needs. During my shadow teaching experience, I used appropriate accommodations and modifications to make lessons more accessible and meaningful for every learner.
I also provided one-on-one instruction to learners with special needs, helping them develop confidence, independence, and academic competence. In addition, I have taught Kindergarten, Grade 3, and Grade 4 learners, tailoring lessons and activities to their individual learning needs, strengths, and abilities.
My goal is to create a supportive learning environment where every learner feels valued, capable, and empowered to succeed.

I believe that every learner has a unique way of learning. With my experience as a shadow teacher and subject teacher in an inclusive school, I have learned to adjust my teaching strategies to each learner’s needs, strengths, interests, and learning pace.
My lessons use Differentiated Instruction, a hands-on approach, and play-based learning to make learning engaging, meaningful, and enjoyable. Instead of using a one-size-fits-all approach, I personalize activities and explanations so that learners can better understand the lesson and build confidence in their abilities.
I teach learners from Kindergarten to Grade 3 in English, Mathematics, Science, and Filipino. A typical lesson may include a short review, introduction of the new concept, interactive activities or hands-on practice, guided exercises, and a quick assessment or reflection to check understanding.
Whether your child needs additional practice, support with difficult lessons, help in developing foundational skills, or assistance with homework, I aim to provide patient, supportive instruction tailored to their needs.
My goal is not only to help learners get the right answers, but also to help them understand, gain confidence, and gradually become independent learners.
