About Zachary

As an elementary educator with a Master’s degree in Educational Technology and Instructional Design, my top priority over the past six years has always been helping children feel capable, confident, and excited about learning. Having taught in both traditional and virtual classrooms—including earning recognition within a National Blue Ribbon School setting—I know that academic success happens when a child truly feels supported.

Every student learns at their own pace. Whether your child needs help mastering core math concepts or building stronger reading comprehension, I tailor every lesson to their unique strengths and learning style. My goal is to partner with you to give your child the tools, encouragement, and low-stress environment they need to reach their full potential and thrive.

About the lesson

Hello parents! I am a certified elementary teacher with a Master’s degree in Educational Technology and Instructional Design, along with 7 years of virtual classroom experience. I specialize in helping K–5 students build total confidence in elementary math (from daily spiral skills to multiplicative comparisons) and reading (literacy comprehension, plot analysis, and vocabulary).

My Teaching Approach & Methodology:

Interactive & EdTech-Driven: Learning online should never feel passive! I use digital whiteboards, custom visual organizers, and interactive games to keep students focused, motivated, and actively participating.

Tailored & Student-Centered: No two students learn the same way. Every lesson is customized to your child's exact learning pace, strengths, and unique interests.

What a Typical 50-Minute Lesson Looks Like:

Warm-Up (5 mins): Fun, low-stress brain-teaser or math warm-up to build immediate focus.

Core Concept Mastery (20 mins): Step-by-step interactive instruction using digital visual aids.

Guided & Independent Practice (20 mins): Hands-on practice where your child takes the lead while I offer real-time feedback and encouragement.

Wrap-Up & Celebration (5 mins): Quick review of accomplishments and goal-setting for next time!
