Hello! My name is Jethro, and I am an engineer with professional experience applying mathematics to real-world design, analysis, and problem-solving projects. Mathematics has always been one of my strongest interests, and I enjoy helping students develop both confidence and competence in the subject.

I believe that students learn best when they understand the logic behind a concept rather than simply memorizing formulas. My approach focuses on building strong fundamentals, breaking down complex problems into simple steps, and encouraging critical thinking. I strive to create a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.

My goal is to help students develop a strong foundation in mathematics by breaking down complex topics into simple, logical steps and showing how they apply to real-world situations.

My teaching approach focuses on understanding rather than memorization. I encourage students to ask questions, identify where they are struggling, and build confidence through guided problem-solving. I explain concepts using practical examples, visual methods when appropriate, and a step-by-step approach that makes even difficult topics more manageable.

A typical lesson begins with a review of previous material and an assessment of any difficulties the student encountered. We then work through new concepts together, followed by guided examples and practice problems. Lessons conclude with a summary of key takeaways and recommendations for independent practice to reinforce learning.

What sets me apart is my professional engineering background and my experience applying mathematics to real-world projects. As an engineer working with technical calculations, design analysis, and problem-solving on a daily basis, I can demonstrate how mathematical concepts are used beyond the classroom. This often helps students better understand the purpose and value of what they are learning.
