As an engineering student, I believe in a hands-on, problem-solving approach to learning. I use a mix of conceptual explanations and practical examples to ensure students not only understand the theory but also know how to apply it. I break down complex concepts into manageable steps and encourage active engagement through problem-solving exercises, making lessons interactive and student-focused.
I also integrate technology into my teaching, using educational software and online tools to visualize concepts, especially in physics, where diagrams and simulations can make abstract ideas more tangible.
A Typical Lesson Plan:
Warm-Up (5-10 minutes) – I start each lesson with a quick review of the previous material and any questions the student may have. This ensures retention and provides an opportunity to clarify doubts.
Concept Introduction (15-20 minutes) – I introduce the new concept with examples and visual aids. I prefer breaking the lesson into bite-sized sections, using simple explanations followed by more complex examples.
Practice Problems (20-30 minutes) – I guide students through practice problems step-by-step, ensuring they fully understand the method behind the solution. I encourage them to try solving problems independently, helping them develop confidence in their abilities.
