My teaching approach is practical, engaging, and tailored to each student’s needs. With over 15 years of teaching experience, including 5 years of online teaching, I have worked with students from elementary to high school levels and learners from different backgrounds.
I use a student-centred approach that combines conversation, guided practice, real-life examples, interactive activities, and clear explanations. For English lessons, I focus not only on grammar and vocabulary but also on helping students speak naturally and confidently. For public speaking and communication lessons, I help students organise their ideas, improve their delivery, build confidence, and express themselves clearly.
A typical lesson starts with a short review or warm-up, followed by the introduction of the lesson topic. We then work through examples and guided activities before moving to practical exercises where the student can apply what they have learned. I also provide feedback throughout the lesson and end with a short review of the key points.
What sets me apart is my combination of teaching and professional experience. My corporate background has given me practical experience in communication, presentations, teamwork, and professional settings, while my experience as a QA and instructional design professional has strengthened my attention to detail and ability to explain concepts clearly and logically.
My lessons are suitable for elementary and high school students, English learners, students who want to improve their speaking skills, and learners who want to develop confidence in public speaking and communication. I adjust my lessons according to the student’s age, level, goals, and learning style.
