About Kay

Hello! My name is Kay, and I am a passionate, friendly, and dedicated tutor committed to helping students achieve their full potential. I have 8 years of experience teaching English and Science to learners of all ages and abilities, from primary school pupils to adults.

Throughout my tutoring career, I have worked with students from a wide range of cultural, educational, and social backgrounds. I have extensive experience supporting learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), students with mental health challenges, and both native and non-native English speakers (EAL/ESOL). These experiences have enabled me to develop a patient, understanding, and flexible teaching style that meets the unique needs of every learner.

I believe that learning should be enjoyable, engaging, and tailored to each individual. My goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to build their confidence, independence, and enthusiasm for learning. I create a positive and supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and celebrating their progress.

Alongside tutoring, I have a strong interest in psychology and aspire to pursue a career in clinical psychology. Supporting others to overcome challenges and reach their potential is something I find incredibly rewarding, and this passion is reflected in every lesson I teach.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is centred on creating a supportive, engaging, and personalised learning environment where every student feels confident to ask questions and develop at their own pace. I believe that every learner is different, so I adapt my lessons to suit each student's individual learning style, strengths, and goals.

With 8 years of tutoring experience, I have taught English and Science to children, teenagers, and adults from a wide range of backgrounds. I have extensive experience supporting students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), learners with mental health challenges, and both native and non-native English speakers (EAL/ESOL). My aim is to make learning enjoyable while helping students build confidence, improve their understanding, and achieve their academic or personal goals.

My lessons are interactive, well-structured, and tailored to each learner. I use clear explanations, real-life examples, practice questions, and regular feedback to ensure students make steady progress. Whether a student needs help preparing for exams, improving grades, developing English language skills, or gaining confidence in a subject, I create a learning plan that meets their needs.

Lessons typically last between 60 and 120 minutes, depending on the student's age, level, and learning objectives. I teach students of all ages and abilities, from primary school pupils to GCSE learners, A-Level students, adult learners, and anyone looking to improve their knowledge or skills.

I am passionate about helping students unlock their potential and believe that with patience, encouragement, and the right support, every learner can succeed.
