I am a dedicated and highly qualified English educator with a Master’s degree in Philosophy of English and a strong passion for empowering students through language, literature, and critical thinking. I bring a calm, professional, and supportive approach to every lesson, creating a safe environment where students feel respected, encouraged, and confident to express themselves. My experience working with learners of different ages, abilities, and backgrounds—including students with behavioral and emotional challenges—has strengthened my ability to adapt my teaching style to meet individual needs. My approach to teaching English is centred on building confidence, critical thinking, and a genuine appreciation for language and literature. With a Master’s degree in Philosophy of English, I bring both academic depth and practical teaching strategies into every lesson. I aim to meet each student where they are, adapting my methods to suit their individual learning style, pace, and goals.
Techniques and Teaching Methodology
I use a student-centred and strengths-based approach that combines structure with creativity. My teaching techniques include:
• Close reading and guided text analysis
• Vocabulary expansion and language development
• Essay writing structure and argument-building
• Critical thinking and discussion-based learning
• Personalised feedback and goal setting
• Creative writing exercises to develop expression and confidence
• Exam preparation strategies and practice assessments
For students who struggle with focus or behaviour, I use calm, encouraging strategies that emphasise routine, respect, and positive reinforcement. I believe in creating a safe learning environment where students feel comfortable making mistakes, asking questions, and expressing their opinions.
Typical Length of a Lesson
My lessons usually run for 60 minutes, which allows enough time for:
• Warm-up and review
• New concept introduction
• Guided practice
• Independent work
• Feedback and reflection
However, I can also offer 45-minute or 90-minute sessions depending on the student’s age, attention span, and learning needs.

• Master’s in Philosophy of English
• Experience teaching and tutoring students in English language and literature
• Early Childhood Education (ECE) experience, supporting emotional and social development
• Experience working with students with behavioural and learning challenges
• Strong understanding of inclusive and supportive teaching practices
