About Carthur
Hello and welcome! My name is Carthur, and I’m a dedicated and passionate English and Ballet teacher with over 3 years of teaching experience. I hold a TEFL certification for teaching English as a foreign language, and I’ve completed a Performing Arts qualification through PNX Global. I also studied Business Management at Boston City Campus, which has helped me bring structure, creativity, and real-world perspective to my teaching style. Whether you're looking to improve your English communication skills or develop grace and confidence through ballet, I’m here to guide you every step of the way. My lessons are student-focused, engaging, and always tailored to your individual goals. I take pride in creating a warm, encouraging environment where learners feel safe to express themselves, make mistakes, and grow. As a passionate and versatile English and Ballet teacher, I offer private lessons that are dynamic, student-centred, and designed to inspire both confidence and creativity. With over 3 years of teaching experience, I specialize in helping learners of all ages improve their English language skills and physical expression through ballet.
I hold a TEFL certification and a Performing Arts diploma from PNX Global, and I studied Business Management at Boston City Campus. This combination allows me to bring structure, energy, and artistry into every lesson. My methodology is holistic and interactive—I tailor each lesson to the student's individual needs, incorporating real-life communication, movement-based learning (where applicable), and a warm, encouraging teaching style.
I am fluent in English and can also offer support to Afrikaans-speaking students where needed.
In my English lessons, students can expect engaging grammar and vocabulary practice, conversation building, pronunciation work, and practical writing tasks. For ballet, I focus on correct technique, posture, rhythm, and building confidence in movement, whether you're a beginner or seeking to refine your performance skills.
My lessons are ideal for:
