About Delyth

I have taught English at GCSE level to native speakers and led a secondary school Drama department in the UK, designing and delivering courses for students aged 11–18. This experience has given me a deep understanding of how language works in both academic and performance settings.

I believe that combining structured language teaching with drama-based techniques creates a powerful learning experience. By integrating clarity of grammar with spontaneity, role-play and embodied practice, students gain not only accuracy, but confidence and fluency that lasts.

About the lesson

I am an experienced English and Drama teacher with over 25 years in education and professional performance. I am a fully qualified teacher and trained at the Central School of Speech and Drama, where I began my career as a professional actress before moving into education. This background enables me to help students improve not only grammar and vocabulary, but also clarity, confidence and presence when speaking.

I work particularly well with adult learners and professionals who want to strengthen business communication, presentations and overall fluency. Sessions are typically 60 minutes and combine clear explanation with structured speaking practice. I use performance-based techniques to help students sound more natural, persuasive and confident in real-life situations, as well as helping them embody language in a way that supports long-term retention.

I have recently completed TEFL certification, further strengthening my expertise in English as a Second Language methodology. Each programme is tailored to the learner’s goals, whether that is improving workplace communication, preparing for interviews, or building everyday confidence in English.
