About Hezel Joyce
I am a dedicated and passionate educator from the Philippines with a degree in Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Social Studies. I have 1 year of teaching experience in English, where I developed my skills in creating engaging lessons, supporting students’ learning needs, and helping learners improve their communication skills.
Aside from my teaching experience, I also have 2 years of BPO experience working with clients from the United States, which enhanced my English proficiency, communication skills, and understanding of different cultures. This experience allows me to provide practical and real-world English learning strategies that students can apply in everyday conversations and professional settings.
As a tutor, I believe that every learner has the ability to succeed when given the right guidance and support. I create a positive, encouraging, and interactive learning environment where students can feel comfortable expressing themselves, asking questions, and improving at their own pace.

As a tutor, I believe that learning becomes more effective when students feel comfortable, motivated, and actively involved in the lesson. My teaching approach focuses on student-centered learning, where I adjust my methods based on the learner’s needs, goals, and level of understanding. I use a combination of interactive discussions, real-life examples, guided practice, and engaging activities to make lessons meaningful and practical.

Typical Lesson Plan:
A lesson usually begins with a short review or warm-up activity to connect with the previous topic. I then introduce the new lesson through examples and explanations. After that, students practice through activities such as conversations, exercises, or discussions. The lesson ends with feedback, corrections, and a short assessment to check understanding.

What makes me unique is my combination of education background, teaching experience, and international communication exposure. As a graduate of Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Social Studies and a former BPO professional handling US clients for 2 years, I bring both academic knowledge and real-world English communication experience into my lessons.
