About Silke

I am a certified TEFL teacher, and I have been teaching English as a foreign language online for more than 4 years. I specialise in grammar, conversation, and pronunciation, in an easy-going and fun environment.

I am a German national and I lived and worked in England for 20 years. I speak perfect English without an accent and am proficient in English spelling and grammar. I can help people of any nationality who would like to improve their spoken or written English.

I am a fun-loving person with a lot of crazy energy, and I absolutely love teaching English! I enjoy seeing my students progress from total beginners to good conversationalists, but also help advanced students become more fluent and improve their grammar and/or increase their vocabulary.

I live in the tropical Canary Islands, and in my free time, I like to do snorkeling, go hiking, do photography, and DIY, and I love animals (I'm a crazy cat lady!).

About the lesson

No matter if you are a total beginner or a level C2 advanced student, once I have met you, we can devise a plan on how we can learn English together in a fun and easy-going way. I can teach you all the necessary grammar from the ground up, if needed, but if it's just conversation you are after, then we can do that, too. I am really looking forward to meeting you!
