About Ayca
I pride myself on being an energetic, adaptable EFL teacher. I adapt my lessons according to individual needs, cultural background and learning styles of the students, as I believe every learner is different and has different needs. I use a communicative approach within my lessons by using visuals, games, songs and role-plays. I use authentic materials rather than textbooks, especially for the advanced learners who are preparing to take the IELTS test. Currently, I have been using Kahoot, Quizlet and British Nexus to assess learning. I give out homework and assess learners after and give out detailed feedback. I build up a good rapport with my learners which I believe is the essential motive for language learning. Currently, I teach ESL at a college and deliver online lessons.
