About Langford

English is best learned through depth, guidance, and a serious long-term approach — not through shortcuts or superficial methods.

I offer private online English lessons shaped by over twenty-five years of international teaching, working with learners from Europe, the United Kingdom, and North America. Throughout my career, I have supported school and university students, professionals, and motivated adults who value clarity, structure, and genuine academic quality.

My teaching is rooted in a strong European educational tradition, where learning has always been regarded as an ethical and deeply human responsibility. For me, language instruction is not simply about knowledge, but about pedagogy: understanding how each student thinks, what they need, and how they progress psychologically as well as academically.

What defines my work is the method itself — the ability to listen carefully, adapt intelligently, and build confidence step by step. Many of my learners remain with me for years because they experience a calm, supportive, and highly precise form of guidance that creates lasting results.

Lessons are structured, individualized, and focused on natural communication: speaking with accuracy, expressing ideas clearly, improving pronunciation, and developing a refined command of English over time. I also work with students preparing for international examinations, academic writing, and professional or business communication.

I welcome learners of all ages, and I am especially appreciated by international adults, families, and professionals seeking consistency, seriousness, and a stable educational partnership.

All sessions take place online via webcam, combining flexibility with the standards of private tutoring: careful preparation, respect, discretion, and genuine commitment.

Whether you are working toward fluent everyday English, academic advancement, exam success, or professional confidence, I provide long-term structure and experienced support throughout your learning journey.

About the lesson

About My Lessons

My lessons are designed for students and adults who are looking for serious, long-term language development with a calm, experienced tutor. I combine clear structure with a supportive and encouraging approach that helps learners progress steadily and with confidence.

Each lesson is fully personalised and built around the learner’s goals, level, and interests. We focus on real communication first — speaking, listening, and clear expression — always supported by practical grammar and vocabulary work.

From the very first session, students are encouraged to speak actively and think in the language. A typical lesson includes:

a short fluency warm-up

focused skill development (speaking, listening, reading, or writing)

targeted grammar and vocabulary in context

authentic examples that support real-world communication

My teaching style is calm, attentive, and results-oriented. I create a learning environment where students feel supported, challenged appropriately, and confident to progress over time.

I work best with learners who value consistency, depth, and a thoughtful long-term approach rather than quick fixes or short-term solutions.

International English Exam Preparation

I offer structured and personalised preparation for internationally recognised English language exams. Exam preparation is always adapted to the learner’s level, goals, and timeline, with a strong focus on accuracy, clarity, and confident performance.

Exams I prepare students for include:

Cambridge English Qualifications (B2, C1, C2)

IELTS (Academic & General Training)

TOEFL (iBT & Essentials)

Pearson PTE (Academic & General)

TOEIC (Listening, Reading, Speaking & Writing)

Trinity College London Exams (GESE & ISE)

Other recognised exams (LanguageCert, Aptis, Oxford Test of English, Duolingo English Test)

Preparation focuses not only on exam techniques, but on real communicative ability, ensuring that progress remains meaningful beyond the test itself.

Professional & Specialized English

I also offer professional and specialised English for learners who need English for work or international environments. Lessons are adapted to the learner’s professional context and may include:

business and corporate communication

academic and research English

medical, technical, or engineering English

workplace communication and international collaboration

Depending on individual needs, lessons may focus on:

professional vocabulary

presentations and meetings

written communication and reports

clear and confident spoken interaction in real work situations

All professional lessons maintain a strong emphasis on clarity, precision, and confident communication.

Lesson fees reflect the level of personalization, preparation, and professional experience involved.

The 30-minute introductory session is a consultation, not a lesson.
It is used to assess level, discuss goals, and explain my teaching approach.

Regular lessons are paid and follow a structured learning plan.

I primarily work with students interested in regular, long-term lessons.
Reduced rates may be discussed for ongoing weekly commitments.

Specialized, professional, or exam-focused lessons may be priced differently, depending on level and specific requirements.
