About Kyle
Hi there! I'm Kyle from California. I taught students from all over the world in Santa Barbara, CA for numerous years in a traditional classroom setting. I've always been passionate about education, also working for Harvard and LinkedIn Learning. I've lived in many different countries and have studied Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, and Brazilian Portuguese. In addition to teaching I love to create art through paint and photography. On the weekends you'll find me gardening, hiking, or at the beach.¬

I have 2 years teaching experience in a traditional classroom setting with an average of 25 students per class. During this time I was working for Kaplan International. My students came from all over the world and the format was full-immersion. I taught all 6 levels, including the highest available which prepared students to take the IELTS exam to apply to universities in the US. My student satisfaction surveys always placed me as one of the top teachers at the school. I also taught various elective subjects, my favorites being a focused pronunciation class and regional slang. I've studied many languages and love dissecting accents. My goal is to help students speak English well enough that they can integrate into whichever English-speaking society they choose to live.
