As a seasoned freelance cellist with over 10 years of teaching and performing experience, I have had the privilege of performing across the globe. Currently based in New York, I perform in the city's most renowned concert halls, bringing a wealth of musical expertise and passion to my teaching. With over 10 years of global performance experience, I provide engaging, tailored lessons that focus on both technique and musicality. My approach fosters confidence, creativity, and passion for the cello. Whether you’re a beginner or advanced, I adapt to each student’s goals, ensuring steady progress and enjoyment in every lesson.
In my cello lessons, I emphasize developing independence from the start. I teach students how to tune their cello properly and encourage them to tune their instrument by themselves. I focus on fostering problem-solving skills, helping students identify and fix technical issues such as intonation or bowing techniques on their own. As soon as they are ready, I introduce playing with others, whether through duets or ensemble playing, to develop their listening skills and confidence in group settings. My approach ensures that students not only master the cello but also become self-sufficient musicians, able to learn and collaborate with others independently.
