About Maya
I am a French tutor with 3 years of experience teaching adults in professional contexts. I hold a Master’s degree in French for Global Communication, which focuses on practical and global communication skills. My expertise is French for art market professionals.
My teaching is structured around clear goals. I design lessons based on real-world art industry needs. Students learn to use French in galleries, exhibitions, and auctions.
We use role-play to simulate professional interactions. This includes art sales, client negotiations, and exhibition discussions. Students practice speaking about artworks with confidence.
I also integrate discussions of art history and movements in French. This improves both language fluency and cultural knowledge. I teach specialized vocabulary for appraisals and catalog descriptions.
Lessons are tailored to each student’s profession. I support gallerists, collectors, and cultural heritage professionals. My goal is to make French practical for the global art world
