About Apurbaa

I am Apurbaa Basu, an undergraduate student of International Relations at Jadavpur University, with a lifelong passion for the Bengali language. Throughout my school life, Bengali has been my strongest subject—I consistently topped in it across all classes and never scored less than 97 or 98 out of 100. My deep love for the language, both as an academic subject and a cultural identity, has shaped the way I engage with it even today. I want to tutor Bengali because I believe that language learning should not feel like a burden—it should be something students enjoy and relate to. I aim to create a learning environment that is personal, patient, and engaging. Each student is different, and I tailor my teaching methods to suit their pace, interests, and academic goals. My background in humanities further helps me bring in a wider cultural and literary context that makes lessons more meaningful. I want to help students not only score well but also appreciate the depth and beauty of the Bengali language. Through my teaching, I hope to spark curiosity, build confidence, and make Bengali one of their favorite subjects.

About the lesson

With experience in teaching students from CBSE, ICSE, and state boards, I design engaging lessons that go beyond rote learning. I incorporate storytelling, audio-visual aids, and interactive exercises to make lessons lively and relatable. Many students find language subjects dull or difficult, but my approach helps them build interest and confidence gradually. I believe in building a strong foundation in both written and spoken Bengali, so students not only perform well academically but also develop a deeper cultural and linguistic connection.
