About Candice
Hello! I’m Candice Steytler, a qualified educator with a BA in English, History, and Geography (History honors), iPGCE, and TEFL certification. I have over 8 years of teaching experience, having taught learners in the UK, South Africa, and China, both online and in-person.
I am passionate about helping learners build confidence, develop curiosity, and achieve their goals. I strive to make every lesson engaging, meaningful, and enjoyable, celebrating progress along the way. My approach to Geography tutoring is personalised, interactive, and student-centered. I tailor lessons to each learner’s strengths, interests, and learning style, combining clear explanations, discussion, and map- or data-based activities to make geographical concepts meaningful. I focus on developing analytical skills, connecting topics to real-world environments, and making lessons engaging and memorable.
While I teach in English, I am mindful of learners’ first languages to ensure clarity and confidence. My lessons are suitable for all levels - from beginners to advanced - especially those aiming to improve understanding, exam performance, or confidence in Geography.
