About Mark
I trained as a teacher 10 years ago, having previously worked in industry both abroad and in the UK. I have worked in both comprehensive and grammar schools, and have taken students from a point where they lacked any confidence in the subject, to where they had the qualification they desired, both at A-level and at GCSE.

Physics is a subject that seeks to describe and explain the universe we inhabit. It is, therefore, fundamentally grounded in our experience. Often pupils of the subject struggle because they lack a grounding in the subject, or because the concepts studied have not been linked to the pupil's experience. I seek to guide pupils from the simple ideas in which they have confidence, to the more complex ideas in the subject. I always like to give a glimpse of what lies beyond the GCSE course.
Having built the confidence of my pupils, I make use of example questions to ensure that they not only feel more comfortable with the topics required, but also realise that they can meet the expectations set by the examiner.
