About Hailey
With 9 years of experience teaching guitar, I have guided students from beginners to advanced musicians, helping them develop technical mastery, creative expression, and musical independence. My teaching philosophy blends structured practice with creative freedom, allowing students to cultivate their personal musical voice. I draw on performance and songwriting experience to provide practical insights, connecting lessons to real-world musical applications. Each student receives personalized guidance in technique, repertoire, and expressive interpretation, fostering growth, confidence, and artistic development. Outside teaching, I perform, compose, and collaborate with other musicians, keeping lessons fresh, practical, and inspiring. My guitar lessons balance technical training with creative exploration. Sessions begin with finger placement, chords, scales, and strumming patterns, progressing to melodic improvisation and song interpretation. Students explore multiple genres, from classical to rock and jazz, to develop versatility and style.
I integrate ear training, sight-reading, and improvisation to build both technical skill and musical intuition. Students learn to interpret music emotionally, focusing on rhythm, dynamics, phrasing, and stylistic nuances. Performance exercises and collaborative practice enhance confidence and stage presence.
Advanced learners explore fingerstyle techniques, solo repertoire, and composition to refine their personal sound. Lessons are structured yet flexible, tailored to individual goals to maintain engagement and ensure continuous growth.
