About Ivy
I hold a master’s degree in music with a specialization in guitar performance and have accumulated 9 years of teaching experience. My journey with the guitar started early in life, and over time, my passion for the instrument has grown into a fulfilling career dedicated to sharing this love of music with others. I strive to help students develop their skills and discover their unique musical voice. My teaching philosophy is centered on patience, adaptability, and personalized instruction. I recognize that every student learns differently, so I customize my lessons to accommodate individual learning styles and goals. Building a strong technical foundation while nurturing creativity and musical expression is a key part of my approach. Throughout my career, I have worked with students of all ages and skill levels, from beginners establishing basic techniques to advanced players preparing for performances and competitions. This diverse experience allows me to guide students through various musical genres and challenges, helping them progress confidently. In addition to technical proficiency, I emphasize the importance of emotional connection and storytelling through music. My goal is to inspire students not only to master the guitar but also to express themselves fully and enjoy the rich, rewarding journey of musical growth.

With 9 years of teaching experience and a master’s degree in music, I provide personalized guitar lessons designed to suit all levels, from beginners to advanced players. My lessons focus on chord theory, fingerpicking techniques, and improvisation skills to develop a well-rounded and versatile approach to guitar playing.
I combine technical exercises with practical song applications to keep lessons engaging and relevant. Proper finger placement, rhythm, and dynamic control are emphasized to help students build precision, fluidity, and expression in their playing.
