About Michael

I’m an experienced guitarist with over 30 years in the music industry. Throughout my career, I’ve worked as a freelance musician and run my own band, performing a variety of musical styles including classic rock, country, pop and instrumental music.

Alongside my performing career, I spent six years teaching guitar at the Institute of Guitar Technology in Liverpool, NSW. This combination of professional performance and teaching experience has given me a solid understanding of both the technical and practical sides of playing guitar.

Music has been a big part of my life, and I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with others. I’m passionate about helping aspiring guitarists discover the enjoyment of playing and develop their own musical abilities.

About the lesson

My teaching approach is relaxed, patient and encouraging, with lessons tailored to each student’s ability, interests and goals. I believe learning guitar should be enjoyable, rewarding and achievable, regardless of age or previous musical experience.

Lessons focus on building a solid foundation in chords, strumming, rhythm and technique, while helping students work towards playing the songs they love.

I offer individual 30-minute online lessons, allowing you to learn from the comfort of your own home and progress at your own pace.

Whether you're picking up a guitar for the first time or returning to an instrument you’ve always wanted to play, I’d love to help you get started.

Let's make learning guitar an enjoyable experience!
