About Jackie

I grew up around volleyball and started playing when I was in the 3rd grade. I played for my school as well as club volleyball all the way through college.

High School: Very high level league, 1 year JV, 3 years on Varsity, played club as well and went to Junior Nationals every year

College: Played all 4 years

I have won many championships and have received awards of distinction for not only my skills but my hard work and heart and love of the game. I have coached a variety of teams from middle school to high school, and club volleyball. I have also supported my players in college recruitment. I have such a passion for the game and still play competitively to this day!

About the lesson

A private volleyball lesson typically begins with a warm-up session to get the player's loose and ready for practice. This might involve dynamic movements specific to volleyball.

For the first couple of sessions, after warming up, I usually assess the player's skills and identify areas for improvement. This could include techniques such as serving, passing, setting, hitting, blocking, and defense. Depending on the player's level, I may focus on refining basic skills or introducing more advanced techniques.

During the lesson, I provide personalized instruction and feedback to help the player improve. This may involve demonstrating proper form, correcting errors, and offering drills and exercises to reinforce good habits. I may also use video analysis to help the player visualize their performance and identify areas for improvement.

FYI: I do my private lessons at a new outdoor paved court where there is a net setup. I provide balls and a ball cart.
