About Julia

I take learning with importance hence, will do my best to identify the areas we can further improve in the subject matter. Students are always comfortable with me and not embarrassed or shy to ask me questions if they do not know. However, I will still be able to recognize if the student has yet to grasp the concept but is scared to ask.

About the lesson

My tutoring approach is rooted in a student-centered philosophy, where I prioritize personalized instruction tailored to individual learning styles and needs. I employ a variety of techniques to engage students actively in the learning process, including interactive discussions, hands-on activities, visual aids, and technology integration. By fostering a collaborative learning environment, I encourage students to ask questions, explore concepts deeply, and apply their knowledge to real-world scenarios. The typical length of my lessons ranges from 45 to 90 minutes, depending on the subject matter and the students' attention spans. I structure lessons to be comprehensive yet digestible, incorporating short breaks and interactive elements to maintain engagement and maximize learning outcomes. As a tutor, I hold a Master's in Secondary Teaching and a Bachelor of Biomedical Science. With 9 years of teaching, I have honed my skills in supporting students across various age groups and academic levels. My experience encompasses helping students grasp challenging concepts, prepare for standardized tests, and enhance their overall academic performance. My lessons cater to students of all levels and ages, from elementary school to high school and beyond. I specialize in mathematics and sciences, English, accommodating both struggling learners in need of additional support and advanced students seeking enrichment opportunities. Whether reinforcing fundamental skills, preparing for exams, or delving into advanced topics, I adapt my instruction to meet the unique needs and goals of each student.
