About Humairah

I am an experienced English Lecturer and ESOL specialist with over 25 years of teaching experience in the UK and UAE. Throughout my career, I have taught students from a wide range of backgrounds, abilities and nationalities, helping them develop their English skills and achieve their academic and professional goals.

I particularly enjoy teaching IELTS because I love seeing students gain confidence and achieve results they initially thought were out of reach. I understand that IELTS can feel challenging and stressful, so my aim is to make lessons supportive, practical and focused on your individual needs.

I believe every student can improve with the right guidance, clear feedback and effective exam strategies. I enjoy getting to know my students, identifying exactly what is holding them back and helping them make steady, measurable progress.

I teach because I genuinely enjoy helping people succeed. Whether you need IELTS for university, work, professional registration or immigration, I will give you the knowledge, strategies and confidence you need to reach your target score.

About the lesson

I offer personalised 1-to-1 IELTS tuition designed to help you achieve your target band score with confidence.

With over 25 years of teaching experience in the UK and UAE, I am an experienced English Lecturer, ESOL specialist and IELTS teacher. I understand the challenges students face when preparing for IELTS and will tailor every lesson to your individual needs, level and target score.

Lessons can focus on:
• IELTS Academic or General Training
• Speaking - fluency, pronunciation, vocabulary and confidence
• Writing Task 1 & Task 2 – structure, language and detailed feedback
• Reading and Listening strategies
• Exam techniques and time management
• Mock tests and personalised assessment
• Improving your overall band score
• Intensive preparation for a specific test date

My lessons are practical, supportive and focused on making measurable progress. You will receive clear feedback and guidance on exactly what you need to improve, together with strategies you can use in the exam.

Whether you are aiming for Band 6, 7, 8 or higher, I can help you prepare effectively and feel confident on test day.

Lessons are available online, making it easy to learn from wherever you are.
