About Josephine
I’m an experienced Psychology teacher and Senior Examiner with a passion for helping students understand Psychology and feel more confident in their ability to succeed.
I’ve taught Psychology to students at A Level, foundation and undergraduate level, and I’ve spent many years supporting students through teaching, coaching and mentoring. As a Senior Examiner, I also have first-hand experience of assessing A Level Psychology exam responses and understanding what makes an effective answer.
I became a teacher because I enjoy helping people make sense of challenging ideas and seeing their confidence grow. My aim is not simply to help students memorise information, but to help them understand Psychology, think critically and develop the skills to communicate their knowledge effectively in exams.
I want my students to leave lessons feeling that Psychology is something they can understand, tackle and succeed in.

My approach is supportive, practical and tailored to each student. I take time to understand where you are currently, what you find challenging and what you want to achieve, then adapt each lesson accordingly.
As an experienced Psychology teacher and Senior Examiner, I can help you understand the subject while also developing the exam technique needed to demonstrate your knowledge effectively.
Lessons can focus on understanding difficult topics, improving essay and extended-response answers, applying psychological research, developing evaluation skills, exam technique or preparing for upcoming assessments.
My aim is to make Psychology clearer and more manageable while helping you become a more confident and independent learner.
