About Emma
I’m Emma, a dedicated Psychology tutor with a First Class degree in Psychology and an A* at A-Level, currently undertaking a psychology master's at UCL. I have previous work experience as an Academic Mentor, supporting GCSE and A-Level students with tailored resources and study strategies; therefore am confident in my tutoring capabilities. My own experiences with dyslexia and ADHD mean that I understand the challenges that can come with learning! I therefore, also really believe it's important to tailor sessions to each individual to create supportive, engaging, and effective lessons. I aim to build both confidence and exam success by helping students feel secure in their knowledge and capable in their skills.

I take a personalised approach to A-Level Psychology tutoring, focusing on making complex concepts clear and manageable. I combine structured explanations with exam practice, essay planning, and memory techniques so students feel confident applying knowledge under pressure. I graduated with a First Class degree in Psychology from the University of Sussex and achieved A*'s in A-Level Psychology, Business, and English Literature. I’ve worked as an Academic Mentor at St Dunstan’s College, supporting both GCSE and A-Level students with tailored resources and engaging lesson plans. I also have experience helping students who struggled academically to build confidence and develop effective study habits. Most lessons are 60 minutes, with time for reviewing content, applying it to exam-style questions, and developing key skills like evaluation and critical analysis. I however am happy to adapt lesson length and focus depending on the student’s needs.
