Hi! I’m an English tutor and native Mandarin speaker, here to help you feel more confident using English in real life. I work mostly with beginner to intermediate Mandarin-speaking students and focus on practical skills—speaking, listening, grammar, and vocabulary—through clear, bilingual explanations.

As a native Mandarin speaker teaching English, my approach is designed specifically to support Mandarin-speaking students at beginner to intermediate levels. I understand the common challenges Mandarin speakers face when learning English, such as pronunciation, grammar differences, and word order, and I tailor my lessons to address these areas clearly and effectively.
Teaching Method & Techniques:
I believe in connection over perfection when it comes to language learning. My goal is to help students communicate with confidence, even if they make mistakes. I focus on building a strong foundation in grammar and vocabulary while integrating real-life conversation practice to develop fluency. I use bilingual explanations when needed to help students fully grasp difficult concepts and encourage active participation in every lesson.
Typical Lesson Plan:
5 min: Warm-up conversation and review of previous material
15 min: Introduction of new vocabulary or grammar topic
20 min: Guided practice through examples, reading, and exercises
15 min: Speaking and listening practice using the new content
5 min: Review, homework assignment, and Q&A

My bilingual background allows me to explain complex English concepts in Mandarin when necessary, which helps students avoid confusion and learn faster. I also emphasize cultural understanding, helping learners not just speak the language, but communicate naturally and appropriately in different contexts.
