About Sean
I am a high school teacher in Edinburgh with a young family.
When not working or looking after my daughter I enjoy yoga, running, cooking and reading.
Tutoring allows me to share my expertise in and passion for the Chinese language, exploring the language in a deeper way with students than sometimes possible in a classroom setting.

Teacher of Mandarin at an Edinburgh high school for 7+ years. I spent over 6 years living and working in China and Taiwan. I have extensive experience of presentation at all certificate levels, with consistently excellent results. I have tutored a number of National 5 and Higher pupils who have all highly benefited from the experience, both in terms of attainment and motivation, and have also tutored students preparing for English certificates.
I also tutor university students looking to improve their spoken Chinese. My expertise in teaching sentence intonation and tonal accuracy will allow you to become a far more effective communicator in Mandarin in a short space of time.
Lessons can be arranged in person or remotely.
