About Uimin
I wasn’t always a top student. I started my serious math journey quite late and struggled with the subject myself. However, starting from the 9th grade, I managed to turn things around through a massive breakthrough, eventually ranking among the top students in my high school. Because of this personal journey, I truly understand the frustration of students who find math difficult.
I have a deep empathy for students who feel 'behind.' I know exactly how to guide them from a place of struggle to a place of confidence. I believe that a student’s attitude is just as important as their aptitude. My goal is to help students develop the right mindset and logical thinking habits so they can pave their own path to success. With my 2 years of teaching experience and my personal success story, I don’t just teach math—I teach students how to believe in their own potential and achieve real results.

I have over 2 years of experience as a professional math instructor in both academies and private tutoring. My core teaching philosophy is that no advanced technique can ever replace a solid foundation. I believe that true mastery of math starts with a deep understanding of the basics.
One of my most successful experiences was helping a student raise their score from 30% to 80%. This was possible because we didn't rush. We focused on fixing the fundamental gaps first.
I am a very patient tutor who prioritizes the student’s learning pace. If I feel a student hasn't fully grasped a basic concept, I am always ready to adjust the speed of the lesson and revisit the fundamentals until they are confident. For those who already have the basics down, I provide advanced problem-solving skills to take them to the next level. I know exactly what steps a student needs to take to improve their grades, and I am here to guide them through every step of that journey.

Details
I offer a 10% discount for 5-hour or 10-hour lesson packs to help students stay consistent with their studies. Travel fees may apply depending on the distance, or we can meet at a public library in Halifax.
