About Lena
I’m a Math tutor with over 2 years of experience and a BSc in Mathematics for Data Science. I focus on helping middle school students who find algebra challenging, especially with linear equations, polynomial expressions, and basic functions. My teaching uses relatable real-life examples to show how math is everywhere. I also incorporate fun puzzles to make learning less intimidating and more interactive. Step-by-step problem-solving guides students through each concept carefully. I adapt lessons to fit different learning styles, knowing that every student learns differently. Many of my students have struggled with math anxiety, so I prioritize building a safe and supportive space. Confidence grows as students realize they can understand and solve problems on their own. My goal is to make algebra approachable and enjoyable, not just a subject to pass. With patience and encouragement, I help students develop a positive attitude towards math.
