About Bongekile

Hello!

I am Bongekile Mseleku also known as Bongi, a passionate educator with 8 years of teaching experience, including 4 years of online tutoring. I specialize in Mathematics and English for Grades 1–5 and IsiZulu for Grades 1–10 (Home Language or First Additional Language). Over the years, I have taught learners from South Africa, Russia, and Boston, each following different curricula. My lessons are carefully tailored to each learner’s abilities and needs, ensuring every child can progress at their own pace and gain confidence in their learning.

I strive to create a friendly, encouraging, and motivating environment, whether online or in-person, where learners feel safe to ask questions and explore concepts. I also support homework, assessments, and exam preparation, making sure every session is productive, engaging, and personalized.

My Approach to Private Tutoring

As an educator with 8 years of teaching experience, my goal is to help learners feel confident, supported, and capable in their learning. I understand that every child learns differently, which is why my lessons are patient, encouraging, and carefully adapted to each learner’s needs.

I focus on building strong foundations, especially in the early grades, by helping learners truly understand concepts rather than feel rushed or overwhelmed. What sets me apart is my calm teaching style, clear explanations, and genuine care for each child’s progress.

What Parents and Learners Can Expect

Lessons are well-structured and engaging, whether online or in person. Each session includes revision, guided teaching, practice activities, and time for questions. I also support homework, revision, and assessment preparation. Parents can expect regular feedback and a positive learning environment where their child feels safe to ask questions and grow in confidence.

I teach in English and IsiZulu and am a native IsiZulu speaker. I offer Mathematics and English for Grades 1–5, and IsiZulu for Grades 1–10 as either Home Language or First Additional Language.
