About Dee
Specialising in SEN education, I am A proactive and versatile professional lead with a proven track record in Education, Teaching, Training and inclusion. Specialising in Maths Education: Key Stage 1-4, Functional Skills and Motivating learners. I am a lucid communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, I have the ability to communicate with students at all levels. Effectively teaching to achieve set targets and objectives. Outcome focussed with high expectations, I have taught as a maths lead for over 5 years and have much experience in tutoring and supporting pupils who find maths difficult. Currently, I am the Head of Maths working with KS3, KS4 and KS5 pupils working towards their formal exams or needing support with the syllabus.

s a committed teacher, I have very high expectations and have an excellent subject knowledge of at KS1and KS2 . On a day to day basis I teach dynamic learning objectives based on recent assessment data and their prior knowledge . Lessons are designed to fill gaps in understanding or to stretch and challenge both SEN and gifted pupils. I strive to employ a range of teaching and learning styles to aid and engage my students development and progress. I particularly like to employ Dynamic learning strategies like TASC Wheels, Kargan Active learning structure, quizzes or mixed ability pairs to direct the pedagogy. In my current job I always model have the LO and success criteria for each lesson displayed in students books and on the board, so that the students are always aware of their steps to success. At the end of each session, I review how well the LO has been achieved using pupil feedback to improve any aspects that needs adjusting and keeps the sessions dynamic. Furthermore, by using Booms Taxonomy - higher level questioning I am able to focus and stretch the vocabulary for each concept.
