About Tracey

With a degree in mathematics, I have been providing one to one maths tuition since 2011. Prior to this I volunteered in a maths intervention programme at a Hull secondary school. I have experience in tutoring both primary and secondary school students, from state and private schools. I have also tutored adults (e.g. for functional skills maths and the numeracy test for prospective teachers). Maths tuition has helped my students improve their confidence in mathematics. Many past students have exceeded their target grade, with some going on to study maths at A-level.

About the lesson

I provide one to one maths tuition for students from Key Stage 2 (years 5 and 6) to GCSE/IGCSE level, including further maths. I will also tutor adults. Whatever the issue with mathematics, whether it be understanding the basics, specific topics, catching up with missed schooling, exam question practice, or a lack of confidence, one to one maths tuition can help by focusing on the needs of each individual student. I aim to help students reach their full potential by providing tuition tailored to the needs of, and at a pace to suit, each student. Tuition can be provided on a regular basis (weekly or fortnightly), as a one-off, or as and when required (subject to availability). I offer a free initial trial session. This consists of a discussion with the parent and student, plus some tuition for the student to get a feel for how it works. Please note that all tuition is conducted online. Students will require a device with integrated or standalone camera, microphone and speakers. Tuition is provided via Skype or Microsoft Teams.
