About Chelsea
I am a Mathematics tutor with over 5 years of experience and a BSc in Mathematics. I specialize in introducing advanced high school and early university students to mathematical logic and proof theory. My teaching emphasizes formal reasoning, guiding students through propositional and predicate logic, as well as foundational set theory. I use engaging paradoxes, challenging problems, and step-by-step explanations to make abstract concepts tangible. Students learn not just how to solve problems, but why the methods work. I enjoy supporting learners from diverse backgrounds, including those pursuing philosophy, computer science, and pure mathematics. My teaching approach in Maths focuses on building strong problem-solving skills and enhancing critical thinking. I cover a wide range of topics, including algebra, calculus, trigonometry, geometry, and statistics. Alongside these, I integrate logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and real-world applications to make concepts clear and practical.
I break down complex problems into manageable steps, helping students understand the underlying principles instead of just memorizing formulas. Each session is interactive, encouraging questions and active participation. I emphasize strategies for solving tricky equations, developing patterns of reasoning, and approaching problems creatively.
Special attention is given to exam preparation, guiding students to tackle questions efficiently and accurately. I also provide focused support for career switchers, helping them strengthen analytical skills and adapt mathematical knowledge to new challenges. Assignments and practice exercises are tailored to reinforce understanding and build confidence.
By connecting theory with real-life scenarios, I make learning engaging and meaningful. Students develop not only technical skills but also the ability to think logically under pressure. With consistent guidance and encouragement, they gain mastery over mathematical concepts and the confidence to excel.
