About Tisha
I am a Math tutor with over 3 years of experience and a BSc in Mathematics. I specialize in introducing advanced high school and early university students to mathematical logic and proof theory. My lessons focus on formal reasoning, including propositional and predicate logic, as well as foundational set theory. I use engaging paradoxes and problem-solving techniques to make these challenging topics accessible and interesting. This approach helps students develop a deep understanding of how mathematical arguments are constructed. Many of my students are pursuing studies in philosophy, computer science, or pure mathematics, where rigorous thinking is essential. I aim to build strong logical skills that students can apply across many subjects. My teaching encourages critical thinking and clear expression of ideas. I believe that mastering logic and proofs is key to excelling in higher-level math. With patience and clarity, I guide students step-by-step through complex concepts. My teaching approach is highly structured, focusing on building strong foundations step by step. I cover key areas like algebraic foundations, calculus concepts including differentiation and integration, geometry proofs, and applications of probability and statistics. Each lesson is designed to follow a clear progression, so students fully understand one topic before moving to the next.
I believe in making complex ideas simple and easy to grasp. Lessons are tailored to each student’s needs, ensuring they feel confident and supported. I pay close attention to problem-solving skills, helping students think critically and apply what they learn to real-life situations.
This method helps students not only prepare for exams but also build a deep, lasting understanding of maths. Whether it’s mastering calculus or working through tricky geometry proofs, I guide students to excel at their own pace. I support learners who want to become future actuaries or pursue any career requiring strong maths skills.
