About Nicholas

I’m a lifelong musician with more than 20 years of experience playing, recording, and performing. Through Blue Cord Music, I teach guitar, piano, bass, voice, ukulele, and accordion to beginner and intermediate students.

My approach is relaxed, patient, and practical. I want students to understand the music they’re playing, develop strong fundamentals, build confidence, and most importantly, enjoy the process. Lessons are personalized around each student’s goals, musical interests, experience level, and pace.

Whether you’re picking up an instrument for the first time, returning to music after years away, or looking to strengthen your skills, I’ll meet you where you are and help you become a more confident, independent musician.

About the lesson

My lessons are designed to make music feel fun, natural, and approachable. We’ll work on the songs and styles you actually enjoy while building technique, rhythm, ear training, and confidence along the way.

Music theory is taught effortlessly through the music itself—not as a pile of rules to memorize. You’ll learn why chords work, how songs are built, how to recognize patterns, and how to apply theory directly to your instrument.

The goal is simple: understand music, enjoy learning it, and become confident enough to play on your own.
