My teaching approach focuses on creating an encouraging, low-pressure environment where students feel confident building their English reading and conversational skills. Learning to read and speak a new language should feel like an engaging, enjoyable partnership rather than a stress-inducing test. I rely on interactive guided reading, where we work through authentic texts together while focusing on smooth pacing, real-time pronunciation support, and paragraph-by-paragraph comprehension. Rather than memorizing isolated vocabulary lists, we discuss new words directly within the context of what we read, using the material as a springboard for natural, open-ended conversation.
A typical session begins with a quick five-minute warm-up conversation to help you feel comfortable and review key ideas from our previous lesson. From there, we dive into 15 to 20 minutes of guided reading aloud, focusing on rhythm, intonation, and breaking down complex sentences together. We then spend 10 minutes checking comprehension and diving deeper into new vocabulary before wrapping up with constructive feedback, celebrating your progress, and sharing practical tips to practice before our next chat.

Instead of following a rigid, one-size-fits-all template, I tailor every session to your unique learning style and personal goals.
