About Yemi

Hello! My name is Yemi, and I’m a passionate piano teacher, songwriter and emerging recording artist who loves helping children discover the joy of music.

I enjoy working with beginners and young learners because I believe learning music should be fun, practical and encouraging. My teaching style is patient, friendly and adapted to each student's age, ability and learning pace.

As a songwriter and emerging recording artist, I am actively involved in creating and developing music, which gives me a practical and creative approach to teaching. I enjoy helping students understand music through songs, chords, rhythm and practical piano playing.

I especially enjoy teaching children who are starting from scratch and helping them build confidence as they progress. I believe that every child can learn music when they have the right encouragement, patience and guidance.

My goal is not simply to teach children how to play the piano, but to help them develop confidence, creativity and a genuine love for music.

If your child is a beginner or simply wants to become more confident at the piano, I would love to help them begin their musical journey.

About the lesson

I offer fun, patient and engaging online piano lessons designed especially for children and beginners. My approach is practical and easy to follow, helping students build confidence and enjoy playing the piano from their very first lessons.

Students will learn piano fundamentals, chords, scales, rhythm, basic music theory, song playing and practical techniques they can use immediately. I also encourage students to learn songs they enjoy, making the lessons more exciting and motivating.

I understand that every child learns differently, so I adapt my teaching to each student's age, ability and pace. Whether your child is completely new to the piano or has some previous experience, I will guide them step by step.

My lessons are conducted online, making them convenient for families in Australia and other parts of the world. I also give students simple practice exercises to help them improve between lessons.

My lessons are especially suitable for:
• Children and beginners
• Students learning piano from scratch
• Children who want to learn songs they enjoy
• Students interested in chords and practical piano playing
• Children interested in Christian/gospel music

My goal is to help every student become more confident at the piano, enjoy making music and develop a strong foundation they can continue building on.
