About Gianluca

I've been an Occupational Therapist for over 10 years, working across Italy, Saudi Arabia, and Australia. These days, I'm a Senior Pediatric Occupational Therapist, leading teams and working with children who have autism, ADHD, behavioral challenges, and learning difficulties like dyscalculia and dyslexia.

I hold two degrees—one in Occupational Therapy and one in Cognitive Science/Psychology—which helps me understand both the physical and mental sides of how people learn and function. Over the years, I've worked in pediatrics, neurological rehab, orthopedics, and general medicine. But honestly, one of the things I enjoy most is mentoring—helping students, new grads, and junior therapists find their feet and grow in confidence.

So why do I want to teach? Simple. I love it. I've seen how the right guidance can change someone's confidence, their skills, and even their career. I've worked with kids who struggle with learning, and I know how important it is to adapt and be patient. Everyone learns differently.

I want to be the kind of teacher who actually listens, who makes things make sense, and who supports you without judgment. Whether you're a student, a parent, or a therapist just starting out—I'm here to help you reach your goals. My success is your success.

About the lesson

I am an experienced and versatile Occupational Therapist with over 10 years of clinical practice across Italy, Saudi Arabia, and Australia. I currently work as a Senior Pediatric Occupational Therapist, leading and mentoring teams while managing complex caseloads involving Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, behavioral challenges, and developmental difficulties. I hold a BSc in Occupational Therapy and a BSc in Cognitive Science/Psychology, giving me a strong foundation in both clinical practice and understanding how the mind works.

My expertise spans pediatric, neurological, orthopedic, cardiological, and internal medicine rehabilitation. I have extensive experience in clinical supervision, mentoring students, interns, and junior therapists, with a particular focus on competency assessment and professional development. I have designed clinical policies, assessment templates, and sensory gym environments to ensure best-practice service delivery.

I am passionate about teaching and sharing my knowledge with the next generation of therapists, healthcare professionals, and families. My approach is practical, evidence-based, and tailored to each learner's needs. Whether you need help with anatomy, pediatric OT, neurological rehabilitation, manual therapy, or clinical documentation, I can provide clear, structured, and supportive tutoring. I also offer specialized pediatric and parenting sessions to help families and caregivers better understand their child's developmental, behavioral, and sensory needs, providing practical strategies to support independence and daily routines at home.

Additionally, I have extensive experience teaching and supporting children with learning disabilities, including dyscalculia, dyslexia, dysgraphia, and other specific learning difficulties. I use tailored, multisensory approaches to help children build academic skills, confidence, and independence in their learning.
